Best Buy’s weekly ad website consisted of several categories from gaming, appliances, computers and others. Each category had hero images to lead off pages. In some instances a photoshoot was required and I was responsible for directing the shoot and coordinating with the photographers and set designers as well as the PM and client to arrange for the product(s) availability and the overall timing. This example is a multi product shot for gaming computers and accessories. Shown is both the image used for the website and the original shot.

This hero page is a Best Buy Back to School promotion. Working with the studio team - going over mood boards, prop ideas, lighting ideas, and fabric colors we were able to put together a concept for this shot. Taking time on set organizing and planning with the photographer, making sure everything was perfect...we landed on this cozy college dorm room lifestyle shot for HP.

For this lifestyle shoot I wanted to create the feeling of a small apartment loft, where you could have a small but clean and efficient workspace. The promotion was for computing accessories: web cam, speakers and a keyboard and mouse.

This hero custom is an example of using client art and incorporating it into the product SKUs. This was accomplished with the help of a retoucher on the team. I would determine the best arrangement of products with the key art and once it was properly adjusted - the retoucher would then take it and make the final adjustments for sizing, shadowing and color.
